Camping at Cave Creek

Desert camping is amazing! The view changes with the sky- clouds, sun and the moon all impact the drama of the scene around you. Here are a few photos of our first night camping north of Phoenix.

We arrived right at sunset, pulled into our campsite and this was the view we were greeted with. Not a bad first night.

The Sonoran desert and its famously tall cacti make for a dramatic scene at sunset.

The park still felt very remote considering our proximity to Phoenix. We were so glad to find such a great option so close. Up next... Sedona and the Grand Canyon.
